Thanks a LOT!

It’s Thanksgiving tomorrow, and I regret that my pregnancy induced tiny stomach won’t hold the load of food I’d like to pack in there. Maybe if I eat small amounts for the entire day, instead of one huge plate all at once?

For Thanksgiving, we shall thankfully be celebrating with besties Tyler and Joanna, at Joanna’s parents’ house. I don’t know how to use possessive apostrophes. Joanna’s mom is making turkey, and I will be providing an apple pie, green bean casserole, and Stove Top stuffing from the box, because it’s the kind I like. The important thing on thanksgiving is to be with friends, and have the food that reminds you of your family.

And to be thankful, of course. Which I am, for turkey and stuffing from a box.

There will be Halo playing and baby watching and food consuming and food coma-ing and hopefully normal Thursday night NBC line up because I wants to watch me some good Thanksgiving tv.

I have officially scheduled my 20 week ultrasound for next Wednesday. Please pray that our baby is healthy and perfect, and that we are able to tell the gender. We only get one shot at this, and I want to know if it’s a girl or a boy SO BAD. SOOO BAD. I really do believe it’s a girl, but I’m totally ok being wrong. All that matters is healthy baby, gender knowledge ahead of time is a plus.

Tomorrow I will be sending Aaron into the storage locker to retrieve our small tree and my Star Trek ornaments. It’s tree decoratin’ time! We did a real tree last year, and it was great but challenging in our little apartment, so we’re sticking to my cute little fake tree this year. Mostly because Caden thinks all things at floor level are to eat. Which pine trees are not. Unless you are a forest creature?

My inlaws were in town this weekend, which was just great. We had some good quality time and some good food, and got to spend a lot of time watching grandparents play with Caden, which is always adorable.

I’m going to finish my work day and then go home, make apple pie, prep for green bean casserole making tomorrow and see my husband for more than five minutes.

Happy Thanksgiving ya’ll.

  1. I am happy to confirm that all possessive apostrophes are in the correct places.

Oddly enough, I will actually be next door to you celebrating Thanksgiving with the Koppys, who live next door (they are the ones who have several Shelties in the backyard).
