We had a good time this weekend. Jennifer went to a little party one of her coworkers was throwing on Friday night while I went over to the Harms’ house for pot roast and Settlers of Catan. It was fun. Pam came from way behind to win at the last minute. I would be bitter but it was so well played. We never saw it coming. (more…)
Let’s Compare!

My sister, over at walkingintherain.wordpress.com made an interesting post a few days ago comparing her home (right now) in New Zealand to her usual home, The States.
Since I am from Seattle, but live in Missouri, I thought I would do a comparisn between Seattle, my home, to Missouri, my adopted home. It’s only funny if you’ve been to both, but I have, so I am laughing!
Missouri- “Hi ya’ll!” Seattle- “I don’t know you, get away from me”
Foods
Missouri- yams with marshmallow Seattle- organic Sweet Potato
venison sausage - kosher tofu dogs
Chicken Stock - chicken broth made from free range chickens
Milk with extra hormones - the cow was worshipped, then milked.
Diet soda with a large Big Mac - sweepings off the floor, labeled “trail mix
Clothing-
Missouri- One stop short of a burka.
Seattle - Mini skirts, uggs, and a tube top. Year round.
Hair cuts-
Missouri- The Nascar special- 5$ at Wal-mart!
Seattle- Done by a man named Elliot who is more woman than you’ll ever be. 150$.
General-
MIssouri- cheap as heck, all around
Seattle- It costs a fortune, and you must sell your soul to Starbucks on your way in the door.
Not as good as Meghans, but still, living in MO is pretty awesome.
