I have the inside scoop that this band is the next big thing around the missions base. Who needs Merchant Band or Misty when you have Spotless Minds? (disclaimer: I love Merchant Band and Misty)
With a photo that cool and a name that awesome, how could they not rock? For more information, talk to Nick Loux, an awesome guy with some awesome friends. Or ask his mom.
Seriously guys, you rule.

I had this thought on the way into work today. How should Aaron and I “celebrate” this holiday?
The answer: We’re going to the prayer room. I am dressing up (in my pajamas) as a sleepy person in the prayer room.
How better to celebrate than by going and glorifying Jesus? More of a post later, but I was just thinking about this right now, so I thought I would jot it down….
I just wish I had an old prom dress to wear.

I don’t like Halloween. I don’t like having to pretend I like Halloween, so I don’t pretend. I got it hardcore this morning when I told the girls my husband and I are going out for a date night, so we don’t have to be at home and watch little kids glorify evil. And power rangers. (more…)

I just thought I’d share with you a couple of things. One: This lovely picture of the fastest and bluest Hedgehog ever to be given his own series of video games. Two: Something that will be available in November and I think will be cool. Three: The wisdom I have gained after almost two years of buying gifts for my spouse. (more…)

We had a good time this weekend. Jennifer went to a little party one of her coworkers was throwing on Friday night while I went over to the Harms’ house for pot roast and Settlers of Catan. It was fun. Pam came from way behind to win at the last minute. I would be bitter but it was so well played. We never saw it coming. (more…)

My sister, over at walkingintherain.wordpress.com made an interesting post a few days ago comparing her home (right now) in New Zealand to her usual home, The States.
Since I am from Seattle, but live in Missouri, I thought I would do a comparisn between Seattle, my home, to Missouri, my adopted home. It’s only funny if you’ve been to both, but I have, so I am laughing!
Missouri- “Hi ya’ll!” Seattle- “I don’t know you, get away from me”
Foods
Missouri- yams with marshmallow Seattle- organic Sweet Potato
venison sausage - kosher tofu dogs
Chicken Stock - chicken broth made from free range chickens
Milk with extra hormones - the cow was worshipped, then milked.
Diet soda with a large Big Mac - sweepings off the floor, labeled “trail mix
Clothing-
Missouri- One stop short of a burka.
Seattle - Mini skirts, uggs, and a tube top. Year round.
Hair cuts-
Missouri- The Nascar special- 5$ at Wal-mart!
Seattle- Done by a man named Elliot who is more woman than you’ll ever be. 150$.
General-
MIssouri- cheap as heck, all around
Seattle- It costs a fortune, and you must sell your soul to Starbucks on your way in the door.
Not as good as Meghans, but still, living in MO is pretty awesome.

I hope this works. You enter names, and then see the name that generates for your battle monkey. Then you see who wins. I find it hilarious. What did you enter, and who won? (if it works at all) If you can’t enter your name below, because it won’t work for me. Go here.

Here are the plans for this weekend. In short, I am hoping to do as little as possible. In reality, probably a lot more than I want. That’s ok though, I get to spend time with Aaron, and that’s always nice. Anyway, I have many things I would like to do, like get a heck of a lot of sleep. I was up way too late last night, tossing and turning due to my poorly timed accidental nap. (more…)

I am starting tomorrow, going to wean myself slowly off caffeine. Slowly, because the withdrawal migraines suck it big time. It’s just not that good for you, and I think it’s trashing my teeth. I don’t want to be an old woman with nasty teeth.
This brings me to the topic at hand today, called “What I Eat.” (more…)
