You know that feeling when you get when you have a good book you just can’t put down? When every page seems richer and more enticing than the one before? Where the words seem to pour into your soul like water into a sponge and you find yourself loosing precious hours of sleep as you turn page after page in the middle of the night? Do you know the feeling I’m talking about?

Me neither.

At least not for a while now. I tell you I’m like hyperactive kid in third grade math class when it comes to books these days. I’ll pick up a new book get five chapters into it then drop it and go for another book like an infant toward a shiny object. Let’s see if I can name all the books I am in the process of reading right now.

The Antichrist: Islam’s Awaited Messiah by Joel Richardson
Romans by Stott
The book of Daniel- New American Commentary
Surprised By Joy by C. S. Lewis
A Grief Observed by C. S. Lewis
The Sign by Robert Van Kampen
Unlocking the Bible Omnibus by David Pawson
The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich

There are at least one or two books I’m forgetting here.
What’s my problem? Why can’t I finish even one of these books?

I’m making a mid-month resolution: I’m not going to start a new book until I have finished these (except for perhaps The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich it’s heafty). I’m gonna do it

I know I’m not the only one who is like this. Who else has books they haven’t finished? Make me a list and we’ll see what the most popular unfinished books are. OR let me know of books that you loved and stayed up late reading and recommend I break my resolution on. Perhaps a top (and bottom) ten list is in order.

P.s. I should probably point out that the reason I haven’t finished these book is mearly because of my lack of stick-to-itiveness not that they lack anything as books.

P.p.s. Stick-to-itiveness. That’s 2 new words in as many posts. I’m on a roll.
